X-GirlFriend is a Chicagoland based four-piece rock band. X-GirlFriend plays a wide variety of music ranging from all the "chick-rock" you’d expect to hear, to "get up and dance" music from the 80’s. We provide a fun, party band atmosphere to our audience. Offering not only great music, but a highly energized stage show.

Congratulations goes out to Tina Dohl, X-GirlFriend's lead singer, as she has been cast in the lead role of Velma Kelly for the Star Plaza Theatre's summer production of the musical Chicago. Tina will be re-creating the role that recognized her with a Best Principal Actress ward from the Northwest Indiana Excellence in Theatre Foundation. The show will run in Merrillville, Indiana's Star Plaza Theatre on July 19th, 20th, 25th, and 26th.
Now, all you fans of Tina's Rock n Roll side need not worry! The band will still be hitting the clubs on the weekends, including some new venues in Lowell (IN), Knox (IN), Glendale Heights (IL), Chicago (IL), Palos Heights (IL), and more!
Armed with new songs and new venues, the band will be looking to add to their army of fans. Make your plans to catch an X-GirlFriend show in the city nearest you!

So here it is the end of another year for X-GirlFriend, and what a year
it was! The band underwent a great deal of change from the start,
with the addition of Larry Roberts on lead guitar, and then in May, the
band added Vern Cranor on drums. This is by far, the best lineup that
X-GirlFriend has brought to its fans, delivering a high energy rock
show each and every time they took the stage in 2007.
2007 was a very busy year for X-GirlFriend, as they performed 44
shows, and included 12 new venues to their credits.
The band would like to thank each and every one of its new fans
they've made this year along with all the fans who have been on board
during the past 4 years. Without you, this band would not have been
able to accomplish as much as it has. They are truly thankful for all of you!
2008 is looking to be just as exciting, with new venues already being
booked, along with some mini Midwest Tours in the works. The band
hopes to see all of you at your local venue very soon! |

So now that summer is done, and X-GirlFriend has played they're last outdoor festival, they are gearing up for the fall with shows booked for return visits to some of the best clubs Chicago and the suburbs have to offer, as well as some new venues! Newest member, Vern Cranor (drums) has fit right in at the X-GF camp, and has really become a major asset to the stage show and overall energy you have become accustomed to. From June thru August, X-GirlFriend played 20 shows in 17 different venues, between 3 states. Along with a rigorous practice schedule, the 4 members appear as if they have been together for years, not months. This writer is of the opinion that the dynamics, energy, and overall cohesiveness cannot be rivaled.
So look for X-GirlFriend this fall as they perform from Walter Payton's Roundhouse in Aurora, to Czar's 505 in St. Joseph, MI and plenty of stops in between. |

This summer is shaping up to be the best one yet! With the addition of new drummer Vern Cranor, the band is focused with a new attitude, and has already started adding a ton of new songs.
New venues, coupled with the return to some great clubs, means X-GirlFriend's Live & Sexy Rock Show will be sure to be in your area over the next few months.
The band will be performing on the River Stage at St. Joseph's Annual Venetian Festival, as part of a two day assault on St. Joseph, Michigan in July. There is even a small Midwest tour currently in the works!
So look for the launch of the new website, some awesome gigs, and a bunch of new songs to keep you rockin' all summer long! |
